Clovelly, Sydney
(4.5/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Head to the beach at Clovelly to avoid the crowds on other stretches of sand around Sydney. Locals adore this beach, which sits on the point of a concrete-surrounded inlet, for its calm, clear water full of comfortable and lack of other visitors. Bring your snorkel to check out the underwater action and lay out in the clean sand or along the smooth concrete if you prefer sand-free lounging. You'll encounter the beach along the coastal cliff walk between Bondi Beach and Bronte. You cannot scuba dive here during the day between October and April. Put Clovelly at the forefront of your travel plans using our Sydney itinerary planner.

  • The locals say it is good to snorkel and swim. It truly looked calm and swim able. But it also looked really dirty to me. I don't think I would do. Too many other places to enjoy blue clean waters in ...  more »
  • This beach is in the way that I did between Coogee and Bondi and found it very beautiful and interesting to be among wide cement sidewalks and a pretty big pool on its side with a lot of stairs to go down to the sea and a small strip of sand, has beautiful houses around and a club.
