  • Pick a great day to head to Carriageworks. Black markets, regular markets and Nick Caves horses. Fantastic indigenous art. Sooooo interesting to see age old traditions carried on. The fresh food stall...  more »
  • Lot's of things happen here, from farmers markets to selected launches and functions. Also some nice restaurants and cafes within the area. Easy walk from redfern rail station.
  • We buy the bullet and headed into Carraigeworks, expecting a bun fight and we got one. We lined up for 45 minutes to get in to be offered the pleasure to line up for similar stints to get food. While ...  more »

  • Saturday markets are awesome but busy. So much delicious food to choose from! The best part of Carriageworks however is the performance spaces. I was fortunate enough to see 'Heard' by Nick Cave. Truly amazing.
  • Don't go to the markets if u want to park they hate people w cars. Today there were 4 events on at once on the morning including the farmers markets - and they'd closed the parking area! Parking mayhem... if they learn to stagger events it cd b worth going! But there are many other farmers markets without this issue! I live on the other side of the bridge so can't walk there.
  • Great space, especially on a Sat when the markets are on. Go for a morning stroll and fill up with the available food stalls while stocking up on fresh vegies and fruits, plus meats from NSW finest.
  • A really cool art precinct in Sydney. Came here for the past two night markets and it's been fantastic, if a little crowded. If they had the night markets on every week instead of once a season then it wouldn't get as ridiculously busy
  • Went for the night markets. Mostly just people selling overpriced samples of food and wine, and the crowds eventually got so bad that we could hardly move and so we left. If you want the ambience of a market, go early (when it opens) to avoid the crowds. If you're hungry, go up to King Street for far better, more reasonably priced, food options.
