#71 of 198 in Outdoors in Sydney
Experience rural idyll just outside of Sydney at Calmsley Hill City Farm. The fully-functioning farm is home to sheep, goats, cows, rabbits, pigs, ducks, and peacocks. Pet and feed animals, ride on a tractor, watch farmhands shear sheep and milk cows, and take in a koala exhibition. You can take a break from the daily schedule of activities by grabbing lunch at the cafe. The farm also offers camping on a limited number of days from October through April. Reserve a few months in advance, though, because sites book up quickly. Put Calmsley Hill City Farm on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Sydney driving holiday planner.

  • Champion, child friendly, venue to visit if you'd like to introduce the youngsters to a 'farm experience'. From entry, you get happy, proffesional service, champion demos of various farm activities as well as a kiosk that offers great valued meal options. This aint our 1st visit and it's definitely not our last. 10 out 10 Calmsley Hill City Farm.👍
  • Quite expensive to gain entry. Animals are great, tractor ride was fun although it could have gone longer (at least 2 laps)...staff at the front and gift shop are quite rude to be honest. The canteen closes at 1:30pm ! And it is very over priced food for what you get (so I would suggest taking your own). Since the canteen closes early they really should provide a drink dispenser or at the very least a bubbler we were there on a HOT day and all of us where DESPERATE for water by the end of the day (we had ran out).... All and all I would recommend it as a one time adventure ...
  • Reasonably priced. Good way for children to see farm animals. Everything is well maintained.
  • A great day out for the whole family. You can bring your own picnic lunch. There are plenty of baby animals that you can touch, pat and play with. The keepers are very friendly and are happy to have a chat and let you know what is going on.
  • Wonderful farm, we had a great time! It's small, easy to get around and some really interesting shows. It was so peaceful and calming. All the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
