#1 of 6 in Things to do in Sydney Olympic Park
Visit Sydney Olympic Park to see where the Sydney Olympic Games were held in 2000. The area was developed for the biggest sporting event in the world, and the facilities continue to be use for sporting and cultural events. A walkway displays all medalists recorded. Olympic Cauldron, which was converted into a water fountain, and Forest of Poles, are best viewed at night. Not just an Olympic legacy, the 23-hectare (56-acre) park is now a commercial development with expansive parklands. • A fantastic show with plenty to see & enjoy. Agricultural exhibits from all around New South Wales, the source of our everyday food supply. Beautiful flower of all varieties on display for you to experience the colour of nature. Everything to do with milk production including milking and a huge variety of animals and birds so you & the children can learn more of the importance in farming. It's truly a venue very educational and plenty of entertainment for the children to enjoy. This is a once in a year event. Come and see for yourself.
  • Sydney Olympic Park has evolved from the venue of the 2000 Sydney Olympics to become an iconic tourist spot. With it's sporting stadiums, hotel accommodation, entertainment area and eating precinct it attracts both tourists and locals. There is easy access here by public transport or you can make use of the many parking stations - at a cost of course ;) We visit here several times a year for sporting events, concerts, conferences, the Travel Expo and to eat at the many restaurants and cafe's. The park is reasonably easy to navigate.
  • Very large area. Suitable for big events. The odds are that it’s pretty hot during the day time, but very cold after sunset (in my opinion). And the restrooms are pretty old as well. But mostly is fine
  • This time round was great because we used the train there and back and it was a busy night (Bruno Mars concert). Everything went smoothly.. Trains were on time and crowd were handled very nice with lots of public transport workers and guards..
  • The Royal Easter Show is a great place to visit our cousins form the country. We love displays and the animal walk. The food is average for the price you pay. The evening events are getting worse every year. Even the fireworks did not go well for us maybe because of the early rain.
