Surfer's Paradise Beach, Surfers Paradise

4.6
With a name like Surfer's Paradise Beach, you know the waves here have to be pretty good. The town beach for the Gold Coast City suburb of Surfer's Paradise offers 3 km (1.85 mi) of golden sand. Give surfing a shot on the gentle breaks here or ride bigger waves if you're more experienced. This is also one of the most popular places for beach volleyball in Australia--join a social game if you're up for making some local friends. If you're here at night on Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, shop for crafts and vintage items from more than 100 stalls at the free Beachfront Markets. • Great beach. Great place. Locals are alright, though you'll find them elsewhere. Tourists everywhere affecting the ecosystem. See it, enjoy it - then find a totally different beach to chill on. Unless you want your bag nicked, or to have sand kicked in your face by an International.
  • We’re so lucky in Australia to be spoilt with so many breath taking beaches and this is no exception! It just seems to go on forever and the effect of the reflecting skyscrapers on the retreat wave and sand is just mind blowing. You can stroll for hours up and down the uninterrupted coast
  • One of Australia's most iconic beaches. People come from all over the world to visit. The beach was surprisingly very clean and very soft sand. The beach stretches further than the eye can see with sky rise buildings along the whole length. There were some blue bottle jellyfish on the shore which made for some great photos. These are still poisones though so avoid touching them. Would recommend visiting this beach.
  • Absolutely stunning beach, clean, super accessible and convienent as all food shops are across the road. We were lucky enough to see some of the sand art works on display. Amazing talent!! The beach is peaceful, so many people were there however its not ever crowded. Lifeguards do patrol the beach.
  • Very well kept beach. Beach cleaned each morning. Plenty of places to swim as a lot of life gaurd towers dotted along the beach. Good for swimming surfing or sun bathing.
