  • Had a short visit and clearly the locals enjoyed getting their weekly supply of fresh produce. Not much for the tourists other than watching the locals shop. We overstayed our 2 hour parking by a few ...  more »
  • Not a patch on Victoria Market. Seafood more expensive. Only offer I bought was 2 kilo of lamb chops for 25 dollars & 3 large pork chops for 12 dollars.  more »
  • Interesting mix of food, clothes, gift stores and many small local designers and artists have stalls here. Loads of fruit and cafes surrounded on the outside of the building. If visiting Melbourne you...  more »

  • I absolutely love this market. You can easily park (free for 2 hours) under the adjacent Woolworths supermarket, there is such a good mix of produce stalls (incidentally quite a lot fresher than the supermarket!) lots of casual eateries along the boundary of the market. Gets pretty busy on weekends but a good vibe and usually street music as well :) There is a new butchery in the market that has exquisite (and very pricey) meat cuts.. but my favourite is the cake shop ... especially their vanilla slices
  • One of my favourite markets in the City. Great for food and drink, Shopping and for getting to. The Car parking can sometimes take a while to find spaces in, but it's free for the first few hours. It's also easily accessible by tram from the City. Funky vibe and reasonably priced, makes shopping a whole lot more fun.
  • Great food produce and a variety of clothing and giftware. On-site parking. Lovely outdoor eateries. Dim Sims are delicious and queuing for them feels like 'The Soup Nazi' episode in Seinfeld. I haven't tried any of the cakes and donuts at the place near the stairs but they look ridiculously delicious.
  • Awesome market. Has a bit of everything. Fresh food and produce, original products and cafes/food. Always busy when I've been there, but nicely you get 2 hours free parking on market days. Definitely worth a look in.
  • This is our favourite place in Melbourne to do our grocery shopping for fresh food - fruits - flowers and bread. Especially worth your visit on the Weekends! You can find anything here and at good prices. Just beware of the yelling store handlers and the busy hustle of dwellers doing their weekly shopping just like you ;)
