  • Bass Point Reserve is a gorgeous, unspoiled piece of paradise. With secluded private beaches and snorkeling bays (Red Sands, Maloneys Bay, Bushrangers Bay etc), scenic walking paths, a ship wreck, she...  more »
  • Regular scuba spot. Either with the local group or by yourself. Plenty of nice stuff to see around the Bay area and around the pylons if you look hard enough.  more »
  • Lovely spot to visit a natural cove great for swimming and fishing. Very nice picnic area. Have been there many times.  more »

  • Love the crystal clear water. There is something for everyone, different activities at different points not very far from each other. Snorkeling at Bush ranger bay is awesome with sparkling clear water. There are fishing points nearby if you are into it. If you like to surf or jetski there is a sandy beach on the other side.
  • The long peninsula that curls to embrace Shellharbour to the south, Bass Point has a small picnic area just above the waves at its eastern extremity. The peninsula has several significant Aboriginal sites, linked by a walking trail that winds through coastal rainforest. The intertidal rock pools provide endless fascination, and there is much more to see if you pack a snorkel. Bushrangers Bay, the figure-eight-shaped bay at the very end of the peninsula, is an aquatic reserve with excellent, sheltered conditions for snorkelers and divers.
