  • To look at you would probably drive past this winery which is located in a tin shed in the back streets of Rutherglen. Please don't, we were recommended to taste their port & Muscat by a local so we d...  read more »
  • We strolled to Chambers along the train trail from Rutherglen, and this place is certainly a must to visit. Welcoming cellar door with the unique self-service tasting. Huge range, and very reasonably ...  read more »
  • If you're lucky Bill Chambers will be there for a chat about wine, weather, Rutherglen and the Universe in his wonderfully rustic winery. The only self-service cellar door experience in Rutherglen. A ...  read more »
  • New to the area, I have heard so much of of this layback, unpretentious, 5th generation winemaker. I was far from disappointed, as it was like stepping back in time to the 1960s. But, in saying that they could overwhelm any winery in the area.. A lovely greeting from the lovely, accommodating Bill and his two beautiful, loved dogs. A visit to the special barrel with coat of arms is a must, whilst sipping on one of the many wines you have "served yourself from" . The whole experience beginning from the back road leading you to a unique, tranquil winery will make you unwind, and the man, himself will not tell you where to start tasting where the newer wineries willl.. ******
  • Winery with a great selection of wine. You can do a tasting and pick your fav... I would definitely go there again.
  • Friendly cellar staff. Tasting area rustic and generous tasting sampling. Highly recommend their Muscat.
  • Excellent, Recently dropped in after 30 years! Dropped in with my beloved and teen daughters after 30 years away. Expect old tin sheds, they are cool and pleasant! Alicante Bouschet and Blue Imperial were my favorites years ago but sold out. I remember the Melbourne wine society had and exclusive on these years ago. On arrival and Kelpie alarm Bill obviously pulled himself out of a chair and proudly tasted me up after the friendly Kelpies gave us a lick an promise! Bill what a man, I remember him younger and as passionate yet under-rated in his own wine appraisals, he remains unchanged and of note. This is a vineyard of historic note with varietals you wont see elsewhere, from very old vines and experienced vintage techniques. Finding Chambers Rosewood is not hard and not far out of town, If you have kids there are swings and very friendly kelpies:)))) Fantastic for those who appreciate the understated and rare!
  • One of the best, if not the best, cellar doors to visit. The variety of wines is comprehensive and accessible. The ambiance couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. I have been visiting this Cellar door for more than 40 years, and enjoyed the reasonably priced, but exceptional quality wines for all that time. I always have a dozen in the cellar.
