Taste wines and ciders, and see how they process grapes at Holm Oak Vineyards. Although off the beaten track, the picturesque scenery and quality wines make this winery worth the drive. Try dry and sweet wines, and pick up a few bottles. The winery provides local cheese, salmon, and other tasty treats for a picnic. Take a stroll around the site to see the orchards and vineyard, and at the end go to the vintage cellars. We went to Holm Oak on our wine tour and it was a highlight for me! The wines were delicious, the staff were super friendly and they even had a puppy and some piglets for the animal lovers. more »
One of the more distant wineries we visited, located at the end of a short (unsealed) road. The tasting facilities are modern and overlook the winding road leading up to the winery. There are tables a... more »

Absolutely loved Holm Oak. Chris who provided the tastings was very knowledgeable, friendly and had so much sincere enthusiasm. She's a real gem and our experience has made this the best wine tasting experience. Chris provided all the information, no hard sell. She has a lot of knowledge, was very personable and hospitable. Along with the good selection of wines (tasted over a dozen), they provided water and crackers to palette clense and a taste of the fudge on sale to partner with the muscat. Needless to say I left with not only wine but the fudge too. Great for families and couples. There is a pig peg and we had doggy cuddles. You can purchase picnic produce and enjoy a bottle and a picnic on the grounds on one of the many picnic tables. Highly recommend 🤗
My friend Sylvia and I had a delightful visit today. Very friendly and knowledgeable, Narelle painted beautiful pictures when she was describing each wine and they were lovely especially the "wizard" pinot and the fudge and musket. We enjoyed making our own food platter to eat on the deck with, of course more wine. The time just flew by. :-)
Lovely welcoming staff and dog one of the best wine tastings I've been. The light lunch was just spot on my friend and I had a lovely couple of hours catching up overlooking the vinyard a big thanks to the staff at home oak .
Great winery, excellent wine and cider. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Am lucky to only live an hour away and can visit a few times a year to sample new wines so i know what to oreder in the wine club twice a year.. Well worth the journey for any tourist visiting tasmania..👍👍
A lovely stop along the Tamar wine route. Knowledgable and friendly cellar door staff, beautiful outlook and lovely wines. Tourist/wine venture done right!
