My partner and I visited the zoo and left within 20 minutes after we noticed most of the animals looked depressed and bored, the enclosures are all very small and there didn't appear to be any method in placement of the exhibits. We didn't want to waste $56.00 so we simply asked for a refund as we weren't happy with our experience and we only spent 20 minutes there, surely not long enough to justify a $56.00 entry fee. The staff members were unbelievably rude during the situation and spoke down to us the entire time, on the way out the manager decided to sarcastically say "maybe don't visit any zoos in the future". Overall a pretty pathetic experience delivered by Tasmania zoo.

Very lovely visit. Has expanded lots since last there in 2009. Definitely worth visiting.

There are some really good enclosures such as the lions and meerkat but others were just poor like the use of a fibreglass fake crocodile in one of the enclosures, and the pricing is over the top. Also some service in the kiosk would be nice, we waited for 10 minutes at the counter and no one ever showed up to serve us so we left and brought food elsewhere.
