Head to the top of Carlo Sand Blow for an eye-filling look at the multihued Rainbow Beach below. Starting from the Rainbow Beach water tower at the top of Cooloola Drive, take the walking path 600 m (0.4 mi) to the top of the 15 hectare (37 acre) sand-blow. Once you get to the top, take in the 360-degree views that include Fraser Island and magnificent sea cliffs. Come for the spectacular sunset and stay to stargaze. Watch for migrating whales if you're here between August and October.   • It's a very big sand dune on the rand of the ozean. You can also do sandsurfing there:)
