  • A very easy 15 minute return walk taking you through some wonderful forest while the river snakes it's way around the walking track. The fall is a stunning sight with lots or little waterflow.  more »
  • En route to the east coast from Strahan we passed Queenstown and after stopping to walk to Horse tail falls and following the shores of lakes we came around a bend to see some cars in a wayside stop. ...  more »
  • Easy walk from the car park along a boardwalk through dense rainforest. It was after rain so the falls were really flowing and provided a magic sight. Definitely worth a visit.  more »

  • The walk to the falls was gorgeous. bright green lichens, ferns and mosses clinging to the trees. Fungi in a variety of colors. The walk was easy and only 30 minutes or so. The falls were bigger(wider and more water) than I expected.
  • Easy short walk to a nice waterfall. Nothing much about an assuming sight, can be skipped if you don't have the time. But if you are driving to Hobart from Strahan or vice versa, it's a good place for a short stopover to stretch your legs and have a toilet break.
  • With an easy walk mostly on Boardwalk comma Nelsons Falls is a beautiful little stopping spot when driving from Strahan to Hobart along side the edge of the Franklin Wilderness. When there in October, Nelsons Falls were flowing in full force and it was beautiful. We walked in the rain about just over 1 km with our umbrellas. Worth the stop!
  • Super easy to find and walk. Took less than 20 minutes return and disabled accessible the whole way. Beautiful serenity and Boeing platform
  • Just off the Lyell Hwy, toilets, picnic area and shelter adjacent to the car park. A well maintained track with information signs leads to the falls, very popular place with tourists.
