  • Brilliant. We need this place and these people. Our Koalas are becoming extinct. By 2050 there will likely be no Koalas in the wild. These amazing people are trying to stop that happening. Donations.....  more »

  • Sad Koala stories that impressively show their threats - strongly linked to humanity. But all with a happy end: They ended up in this wonderful Koala hospital where volunteers (!) take care of them in a heart warming way and with great respect of the animals! If you ever want to see an active Koala, make sure to be there at 8 - 8.30am when they start to feed them!
  • This was an excellent place to visit. Great for all ages to learn about the important work they do for koalas. They offer a free Koala Hospital guided tour at 3pm, that is very educational. The hospital is mostly manned by volunteers and the guide who ran the tour today 'Anna' was amazing. You could tell she was passionate about caring for these animals both now and into the future. All of the other volunteers that were there, were all so helpful and generous with giving information about the koalas. The Hospital operates mostly on donations and grants. If you get the chance to support their work make sure you do. A highly recommended activity for Port Macquarie.
  • This was my second visit here. It's a great place to see and learn about koalas and to bring the kids. No cost for admission or parking, but there's some good quality souvenirs or voluntary donation/sponsorship if you want to help. Some of the koalas were hidden away as they were to be released soon.
  • Very nice visit. Guides teach us very interesting things. Everyone volunteers there don't hesitate to donate at the end of your visit
  • The very unique experience. This center is beautiful, brings a lot of feelings for the tourists. Nice and clean place, you can help adopting a koala. This is the way to help the center!
