  • Despite the extreme heat, my partner and I genuinely enjoyed our visit. Patting the beautiful kangaroos was definitely a highlight, unfortunately we didn't get to witness one of the sanctuaries due to undergoing renovations. However I don't doubt it'll be great once finished!
  • This place is ok, we are locals and had never been there but we’re a bit disappointed really, it was quite dirty and we had our toddler who wanted to run around but there wasn’t really anywhere for him to play because there was duck poo everywhere on the grass, maybe a little play area would be good. The male cassowary looked great but the female had no foliage in her cage and nowhere to hide, she looked stressed.
  • A compact but densely populated wildlife park, where you can get up close to most of the animals if they're in the mood - in fact, most of the enclosures are open so the animals can freely roam inside the human part too. Cassowaries were safely behind double fences, but emus were just waltzing around the main wallaby area like they owned the joint. Very large croc!
  • They have one section closed for renovations, the whole place is rundown and needs a major clean up. The animals certainly are beautiful. They should not be charging full price at the moment due to the state of the place. We went 23 years ago and loved it, big disappointment this time.
  • This sanctuary is absolutely amazing! Most animals are roaming free and seem very content and relaxed. Birds of all species are everywhere hanging out with each other, kangaroos, wallabies, ducks, geese, pelicans, etc are roaming free and you personally interact with all of them! The staff is extremely friendly and you can get a picture with one of their koalas. You definitely want to support a place like this vs a zoo.
