  • This a good place to come and eat/drink and view the array of tourist craft, sport fishing boats and a few super yachts. Good people watching as well, plus a quirky market on Wednesdays
  • I haven't been to the marina in it's hey day so I can't compare but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for shops here. The few shops here are mainly tourist ones selling basic mid-range items for ...  read more »
  • The marina seems to be in a constant state of building or upgrades. Hopefully it can be resurrected to its halcyon days.
  • Most locals still call this place Marina Mirage from the old days..... Great Marina setting for sitting and watching the boats and cruises ebb and flow especially around 8-10am and 4-530pm, shops are typical souvenirs mostly but the restaurants and bars are good eg Lure.... And serve decent coffees and breakfast and a new brewery is about to open Skater's Bar (not open yet as of April 2016). Marina is also base for Quicksilver Cruises out of Port Douglas which is an amazing day out to see the Great Barrier Reef and other cruises.
  • A nice photogenic building overlooking the marina. The shops are mainly for the tours and reef trips, but there are a few restaurants and bars inside!
  • Mantra in the village is located on Grant Street and is pretty much right in the centre of town. They have good sized rooms but most need lots of work. Plenty of patch work visible inside units. The complex is in a good position but on the downside there is lots of street noise - this included early morning garbage removals and late night revelers trying to get home. You will pay for all extras when staying with most Mantra's - anything from internet services to extra toilet paper. Much better value around town. Ratings out of 100 Position: 90 Noise levels: 40 Servicing of rooms: 50 Cleanliness: 60 Pool and rec. areas: 50 Value for dollar: 58 Overall Rating: 58 (below average)
  • Redevelopment works on at the moment. Will be interesting to see afterwards
  • Tidy place
