  • Not as crowded as the twelve Apostle but also not so spectacular. The way to the grotto is just 5 min walk some stairs down. Definitely worth a photo stop.

  • Great to get away from the throngs of obnoxious self absorbed tourists at the Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge and escape to the most singularly beautiful and peaceful spot on the Great Ocean Road. Yeah it...  more »
  • Stunning natural formation formed from erosion. Lots of parking available and steps down to multiple viewing platforms to get great pics from.  more »

  • Stopped in on our Great Ocean Road holiday and it was beautiful. Down in the Grotto itself it is tranquil and quiet, with almost none of the oceans bustle reaching the interior. Steps are a little steep, but there are not many, and those who are less mobile can still have a great view from a higher platform. Certainly worth dropping in to take a look at if you're in the area.
  • Beautiful spot with an easy walk to the viewing platform. Try getting there early or late in the day when there are less people and the sun is setting or rising, this will make for a more picturesque view and photo! The walk down is not suitable for disabled or prams as it is down a set of stairs
  • Nice area to walk around. Didn't think the Grotto itself was that awesome but the general area was nice to wander around and read about the different sections. It didn't seem as crowded as other parts and had good parking.
  • A really dramatic place of great power and beauty. Nice walk to the stairs and plenty of room for a good view.
  • Great stop in the Great ocean road drive. Easy access and car park. Short walk along the well maintained path to the grotto. After few steps you can actually see the water coming in towards the grotto and you from the view point. Great place to capture some incredible pictures. Worth the stop. Average time spent at the grotto is around 20 mins.
