  • I love Tyrrells and my trip this week was horrible, the wines were nice but that is about it. The staff was horrible and I am afraid Tyrrells has lost it charm created by the Tyrrell family.
  • Tyrrell's is one of the oldest wineries in the Hunter. They have plenty of space for groups to visit and taste their wines. Also provide a brief tour of the winery. We enjoyed a brief walk amongst the...  more »

  • They run daily tours from 10.30am. The tour was cheap at $5 and the tour guide talks endlessly about wine related things. It's not a full on wine tour, more like a bit of general wine trivia and a bit about Tyrrell's. There is very little walking and bring sun protection because you stand in the sun for about 25 mins. The tour is very casual so feel free to ask any wine related questions. Kids are welcome on the tour but if they have a short attention span then they will get bored and run around. The tasting was pretty casual and relaxed which was good. Their wines are really good quality and you will probably walk away with a few bottles. They accept card and cash. They have a bathroom and quite nice scenery. We had trouble locating it via Google maps, takes you to some random road opposite Peppers which is incorrect. There is plenty of free parking.
  • Great all around variety of wines. They have a lower priced line that are fantastic drinking wines, next time I'm getting a whole case.
  • Some of the best Shiraz in the Hunter. Amazing views and friendly staff They also don't try and push you to join their club.
  • Fascinating tour, and good value at only $5. Entertaining guide, and great vista.
  • Very unfriendly staff. We had a very bad experience and recommend to go to some of the other great wineries in hunter valley.
