  • The reds here are amazing. Pete at the cellar door just made this winery stop so enjoyable. He was really knowledgeable, funny and picked his audience.  more »

  • Great winery, you will be hard pressed to find a place with a solid selection of both white and red wines that will please throughout. They have a small cellar door but pack it with a great selection of wine and unique staff. They are one of the few places in the Hunter who have a Tempranillo but have upwards of 20 wines, providing a great selection of whites, reds and some stunning fortified wines. My favourite was the Old McDonald but it is now gone forever, so delicious. If you come here you'll like the wine, buy it, take it home and drink it, then come back and buy a box!
  • The cellar door experience is superb, conducted by knowledgeable and charismatic staff. The behind the scenes tour is an eye-opening peek into the world of wine making. It does get crowded during weekends and their wines are expensive, but the experience is not too be missed if you are in the hunter valley area.
  • I'm a very lucky swine, without a doubt the best reds around. The tastings are always fun and the staff are knowledgeable, entertaining, and very passionate about the wines they produce.
  • Great winery. Release nights are great fun in June and July. Try some amazing with Es and have a great time.
  • Really enjoyed our visit to Piggs Peake! Robert was so informative and helpful. Learnt a lot about the processes. The whites and reds were both amazing! went back the next day and bought even more of their great wines and signed up for membership. Can't wait for their release night and June and the Brizzy dinner in October. Agree with other reviews - the dessert Shiraz is amazing - you have to taste it to believe how good. Can't wait to be back in the Hunter!
