  • Lovely small niche winery. Owner present to welcome visitors and chat giving additional background information. Wines lovely and reasonably priced. Only sold at gate. Fully recommended.  more »
  • Overall the setting and atmosphere was very friendly and host Bill did a good job presenting his products. However he also spent too much time talking down the opposition rather than "selling" his own...  more »
  • This is a unique winery in the Pokollbin area of the Hunter Valley. The wines are all unusual character and although not all to my taste, they were all very 'different' and provided a very interesting...  more »

  • Extremely helpful staffs with the most friendly serving attitude I found around the hunter. Love the classic architecture style. Impressive experience here.
  • Last Saturday me and my boyfriend decided to visit Iron Gate Estate. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We will be definitely going back to Iron Gate and recommending it to our family and friends. Thank you for the great experience
  • One of the only hunter valley wineries that uses all hunter grapes. This winemaker thinks outside the box and makes very bold delicious reds. Would rate as one of two wineries in the hunter that deserves 5 stars.
  • Exceptionally good wine and a very friendly owner. Been here twice now and I keep buying more...
  • Favourite place in Hunter Valley by far. They took the time to show us around and tell us about their wine making process before we started the tastings. Maurice was a great guide and really descriptive with each wine that allowed you to notice flavours you might not have otherwise. We stocked up here and plan on returning.
