  • Visited the Gardens with a baby and 4 year old. March was a good time of year with many of the gardens nice and colourful. Pathways were pretty accessible with a pram but some sections were harder on the sandy gravel. Chinese garden section was a favourite with the big koi swimming around. The story book garden is looking a little tired and would benefit from a refresh but otherwise we had a great visit. We plan to return for the Christmas lights season too after hearing great things from friends and family.
  • Stunning rose garden, perfumed with the scent of thousands of roses in all different hues and shapes and sizes, forming concentric circles around a centerpiece scultpure of a grandma and her grandchildren. The entry fee isn't cheap - $30 - but well worth a visit. The nursery rhyme garden is fabulous - featuring life size statues of famous children's literary characters including Jack and Jill rolling down a grassy hill and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland. Fantastic for kids! Unfortunately the rides were not working when we visited and there were some outdated Christmas themed decorations but with views of the lake and a tranquil setting is perfect for a picnic.
  • We went on New Years Eve for the lights and fireworks. The drive is pleasant, but was disappointed with the gardens. We couldn't take in food or drink, had to buy what was there. Not much choice and expensive. A lot of walking and very few seats for resting along the way. $100 entry, $15 for unlimited rides, won't be going again.
  • Garden is beautiful but small and almost not worth the money. There is almost no shelter if it rained or strong sunshine. Also very limited food options. needs better signage too.
  • What a great experience seeing all the Christmas lights. We walked it twice. It wasn't very dark the first time around but it was nice to see all the displays then we stopped at the top where you have a variety of food stalls to choose from and a few rides for the kids. Around 8pm the lights shone brighter so we walked it again and loved the lights even more
