  • You can find a huge variety of gold coins and ingots, a nice place to visit but as gold is expensive do not expect to pick up bargains.
  • If there is one thing you cannot miss it is the guided tour. It gives you a deeper insight on the history of the Perth Mint and information about gold. The best part is where they cast a bar of gold r...  more »
  • Old Mint is about 5 minutes ' walk from Perth Centre. You can't not guided tours and free to look around. Guided tours with shiaomai can sign at the reception desk of the left hand. You can make a Memorial medal at the end of the tour. Can be engraved with love letters and pictures.

  • I like history and machines therefore I loved this place! Mint your own coin souvenirs for $2 you see it done in front of you by a fantastic vintage machine, video it and give them to the ones you love:) Story telling about gold melting told live by a nice fellow impressive! Those two well worth the FREE!!! visit.
  • would be better if the staff knew a little bit of background knowledge regarding collectable coins. rather than a fake smile because they are paid to. was appalled when i found that the place across the road sold the EXACT SAME coin (minted in the PERTH MINT) but for slightly cheaper. it may be only $5 but the fact your competitor can sell your product for cheaper than you is mind boggling to say the least, not to mention the man is an enthusiast and not only teaches you about the coins but also teaches you with a smile. loved the tour, will never buy from you again though
  • Doing tours like this reminds me of being in primary school again. I did enjoy the venue and the tour. Watching the pouring of the gold and lifting a gold bar. No idea where else you could expience this.
  • Great Tour, Grandkids loved it. Got some nice mementos and coin chocolate. the gold pour was a highlight as was the heavy gold bar to lift. We liked the vault and next time will try the cafe.
  • There are walk-throughs organised on a regular basis every day and it's worthwhile to tag along and listen to the experienced guide who speaks of the place's history, the largest gold ever mined etc. There's also a live gold bar making demonstration which is a highlight. Various forms of souvenir are available at the souvenir shops as keepsake or gifts to others.
