  • We visited the mint and found it interesting. All up it took a couple of hours. While it was interesting, I didn't think it was worth $18 worth.  more »
  • Take the 45 minute tour and learn a bit of the history of WA. Then enjoy the gold smelting show. The exhibit are good and you can purchase locally produced jewellery.  more »

  • Interesting and great history on gold. Don't expect too much interaction on the tour. Lots of gold and other metals on showcase, the history of where gold comes from, how it's used, whom used it and stories about people discovering it. The gold pour was pretty cool to watch. The tour guide Adam did a great job! 👍
  • A good place to explore the history of gold mining in WA, it just located beside cat bus stop. Interesting to watch the gold pouring performance and the largest gold coin in the world. You can also buy precious metal products from the sale office.
  • Best customer service. Very helpful and patience. They gave me very good advice fo not go to buy the gold online. Because it might be fake and without guaranteed.
  • I took my family along to the Mint, mainly because I loved the idea of a gold pour. In reality, it wasn't the most interesting part of the visit, but it was interesting nonetheless. Our guide was very engaging and told great stories. The gold pour was interesting, and the kids loved finding out what they were worth in gold. It's a bit on the expensive side for a relatively small attraction, and possibly not really worth the entry fee, but I've seen worse.
  • Great place to take the kids. They had a great time and learnt something new.

Where to stay in Perth

When you choose your Perth accommodations, remember that this city stretches over a wide area, which can cause issues for visitors with limited time to sightsee. The best way to remain close to urban transportation is to stay in the central business district or neighboring Northbridge, where you'll also find the greatest selection of hotels. To avoid the center's big crowds and steep hotel prices, consider booking a room in the coastal town of Mandurah, easily accessible by Perth's reliable suburban railway system.
