  • Always a good day out with kids in the 8-14 age group. Old enough to wonder "how does things works" and young enough to enjoy playing. Inside catering facilities are not great - ok for a quick drink but not a full meal.
  • I love the varying science exhibits. It's designed to let people interact and learn about science in a fun and engaging way. Kids learn whilst playing.
  • If you are 10, 30 or 90. Scitech is awesome. Kids will be entertained, you may learn something new. Horizon is a great experience. I would also recommend the adults only nights. Scitech and booze. Best night ever.
  • Great place to learn about science. They let you bring in your own food but they throw away water bottle if you leave them in the facility over night
  • Good for the kids but needs updating. I was expecting new science projects but most of the activities are a bit old. One of the activities there is to use the mind to bring the ball in the tube up (sort of mind over matter). I tried it and didn't even concentrate on thinking about the ball, but to my surprise the ball went floating up. It is definitely inaccurate.

Where to stay in Perth

When you choose your Perth accommodations, remember that this city stretches over a wide area, which can cause issues for visitors with limited time to sightsee. The best way to remain close to urban transportation is to stay in the central business district or neighboring Northbridge, where you'll also find the greatest selection of hotels. To avoid the center's big crowds and steep hotel prices, consider booking a room in the coastal town of Mandurah, easily accessible by Perth's reliable suburban railway system.
