Create an itinerary including Queens Gardens
Located on a former brickworks site, Queens Gardens includes lakes filled with water lilies, huge displays of flowers, sprawling lawns, and a Peter Pan statue, replicated from a figure located in London’s Kensington Gardens. The park opened to the public in 1898, and during the years leading up to World War I, often served as an elegant garden party venue. A bench located at the very center of the park was gifted to the city of Perth by an anonymous donor, after a failed marriage proposal to his girlfriend. The bench, featured in the movie "Notting Hill," is inscribed "To June who loved this garden from Joseph who always sat beside her." • It's a quite and calm small park in the city. It's more popular for taking wedding photos and having ceremony. Love the lakes with swans ,ducks and lotus. Love the green and all the shades provides by the tree.

  • This is such nice spot close to the city to have a walk or sit-down, great for a picnic lunch too. The gates are usually closed but not locked, you are requested to keep the gates closed. Inside you'll find a pond with a few small bridges criss crossing, the Peter Pan statue (a copy of the famous statue located in London's Kensington Gardens). Take care if you are there during the breeding season as the Swans do not like people getting close to their brood.
  • Simply Beautiful & Stunning Gardens right in the hustle and bustle of The City of Perth.... I wonder though now if they will change the name to The Kings Gardens...?? Interesting to see what happens. Personally, I don't think they should... In honour of Her Majesty's passing maybe they could erect a memorial statue there or something to honour her and her extremely long reign on the throne. Being so close to the WACCA as well.. I think most of us have all visited The Gardens at one time in our life or another... The ideas for this park in the future are endless, I'd love to see what changes they make..
  • I come here regularly to do my exercises at the rotunda. In the middle of my workout, an older harmless looking aboriginal man came and sat himself next to my belongings. Big mistake. I only discovered that he stole my new phone after my session. Nice park but watch out for these low life lurking around the place and don’t make my mistake of dropping your guard for sake of social correctness. Be compassionate but be Wise and be careful.
