Queens Gardens, Perth
(4.6/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Located on a former brickworks site, Queens Gardens includes lakes filled with water lilies, huge displays of flowers, sprawling lawns, and a Peter Pan statue, replicated from a figure located in London’s Kensington Gardens. The park opened to the public in 1898, and during the years leading up to World War I, often served as an elegant garden party venue. A bench located at the very center of the park was gifted to the city of Perth by an anonymous donor, after a failed marriage proposal to his girlfriend. The bench, featured in the movie "Notting Hill," is inscribed "To June who loved this garden from Joseph who always sat beside her." Our Perth family vacation planner makes visiting Queens Gardens and other Perth attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • It's a nice place to have a short walk but nothing really particular. Maybe a nice picnic spot for example...
  • this is to the East of the CBD but you can get a CAT bus for free, only 5 minutes, the gardens have lots of lawn and flowers and water and is right next to the WACA for all the cricket purists.
  • I went there with my classmates and you can see how the garden is well taken care off, the few fauna living there is so cute. Excellent place to spend some time with friends chilling or even a romanti...  more »

  • Stunning cultivated gardens with a distinctly English style. A resident swan family (gates into the park note, "Please close to protect our signets"), statues that echo those of London's Kensington Gardens, and a park bench curio from the film 'Notting Hill'. Mind the occasional mud patch.
  • Hands down the nicest park in Perth. Very secluded and quiet and sooo pretty
  • Great place for a walk or lunch on the grass. Public gardens with ducks and swans. Built for the queen some time back. There is a park bench from a Hugh grant movie.
  • Nestled amongst the skyscrapers is a true poece of history. These gardens have been around for such along time. How they came to be is amazing.
  • Very clean and tidy. With many different types of plants, shrubs and wildlife.
