Kings Park is probably best known for the WA Anzac memorial (and others). It has a great deal of bushland filled with native flora and fauna, between each of it's many landscaped park areas. Some of these more tourist focused (near the main entrance and memorials), others more suited to families and children (Synergy Parkland). Overall a lovely place with a good measure of variety.

Definitely a must visit. The botanic garden is beautifully landscaped with wide open spaces and rolling greens. There is a divine gift shop there that is well designed. The stocks they carry are divine. Had to control my spending, pity.

I walk here almost every weekday. There are enough paths that it never gets boring. The east end of the park is the touristy end, with lots of attractions to see (fountains, DNA Tower, etc.). Towards the west is quiet bushland, where you can explore, often without seeing another soul. So there's something for everyone, really.

Pretty good service considering how busy they were at 8.30 on a cold Sat morning! Coffee was hot, breakfast eggs and bacon was tasty and cheap! The Kings Park is so awesome, so much done to show the beauty of the wild flowers and the view is best in the world!

Kings Park and Botanic Gardens is a beautiful and historical place. It has magnificent native gardens and an historic war memorial. It overlooks Perth and the Swan River. Great walks too.

Where to stay in Perth

When you choose your Perth accommodations, remember that this city stretches over a wide area, which can cause issues for visitors with limited time to sightsee. The best way to remain close to urban transportation is to stay in the central business district or neighboring Northbridge, where you'll also find the greatest selection of hotels. To avoid the center's big crowds and steep hotel prices, consider booking a room in the coastal town of Mandurah, easily accessible by Perth's reliable suburban railway system.
