Where to stay in Perth

When you choose your Perth accommodations, remember that this city stretches over a wide area, which can cause issues for visitors with limited time to sightsee. The best way to remain close to urban transportation is to stay in the central business district or neighboring Northbridge, where you'll also find the greatest selection of hotels. To avoid the center's big crowds and steep hotel prices, consider booking a room in the coastal town of Mandurah, easily accessible by Perth's reliable suburban railway system.

  • Had a closing down sale a couple of years back, I went hard and overpurchased. When I went to return or swap they or any of the other Dymocks wouldn't oblige. They were quickly open for business again. What a caper!
  • You'll usually pay full recommended retail price (excluding discount points or specials), but it's nice to support one of the few remaining book stores in Perth.
  • Usually packed no matter the time and day. Prices are often good and it is worth getting the Dymocks card so you can accumulate points and get discounts. Staff are very helpful but sometimes you will find that even though the book shows as in stock, you still won't find it there.
  • Only decent chain bookshop left in Perth. Its well run.
  • Good selection of books here.
