Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / South Australia / Kangaroo Island / Penneshaw / Wineries / Dudley Cellar Door
Situated at a precipice of a cliff overlooking the water, the name of Dudley Cellar Door is an ironic one. Check out the locally made artisan goods, natural fiber and wool clothing, as well as a supply of local vines in the cellar's shop. End your visit by tasting the wines on the balcony overlooking the sea with a glass of crisp Riesling and a gourmet pizza. See Dudley Cellar Door and all Kangaroo Island has to offer by arranging your trip with our Kangaroo Island travel itinerary planner.

Where to stay in Kangaroo Island
Although most of Kangaroo Island remains relatively underdeveloped in a commercial sense, you'll find lodgings that include everything from spacious suites to economical hostels in communities like Penneshaw and Kingscote. The most expensive accommodations on the island, private cottages and beach houses near the water generally require a two-night minimum stay. For something more flexible and less expensive, consider one of the local campgrounds, many of which offer powered and unpowered sites, as well as cozy log cabins ideal for couples and families with kids.

Spectacular view, courteous and charming service. Ray is a fountain of knowledge and is fabulous at describing how to experience these wonderful wines. This is surely the premier winery on Kangaroo Island and our choice location to advise our guests to visit. We recommend a late lunch with wine tasting as the food is also delicious. We look forward to our friends staying for a few days on KI as this always gives us an excuse to visit. Definitely a highlight of any holiday on Kangaroo Island and well worth staying an extra night on KI.
Kate & Ray were awesome hosts. Ray with his wine knowledge and Kate. with her being new of the block will be awesome with her energies. Keep up with your smiles and hospitality skills
Excellent views across to the Mainland while we enjoyed a light lunch and a glass of very good wine. Service was very good making us feel welcome.
Beautiful setting. Good food, but not cheap. Wines are very good and well priced. Play area for children as well!
Best wine tasting I have ever experienced. Gary is amazing. Also great wine and amazing views. Go on first sunday of the month for live music, but bookings definately a must if you want some food. Very busy!
