  • We cycled and found the roads and tracks leisurely with the odd car. We made numerous jaunts across from Paynesville, the ferry service being frequent and free for pedestrians and bikes. The Koala spo...  more »
  • If you want to see koalas and kangaroos in your habitat, this is the island. To get to it you need to go to the city of Payneaville and take the ferry to the island. If you are in a car park on the Mainland and cross the ferry walk, it's free, if you want to go by car pays $12. Honestly, best walk, so you start on track as soon as you get to the island. You will see many koalas and parrots, kangaroos are already more in the middle of the island, that of walking tracks easily. I posted a picture of the map where are the majority of Koalas. Tip: Beware of what you read in travel blogs, one of them said go to Gypsyland to see Koalas, I thought the island was small and lost almost 4 hours lost within the reserve. Finally about to give up we went back to the hotel and the receptionist said it was on Raymond Island in gypsyland collar, because of the problem we're late on the island and the Koalas were already upstairs of trees falling asleep
