  • When I return to Parramatta I always walk a couple of laps of the park as I use to when living there. Marked car, bike and walking lanes are well marked. It was a beautiful morning for a walk, clean, ...  more »
  • Great place to walk and unwind and then just sit and unwind and watch the world go by. Well lit and I felt safe even though I was in my own. The vista is beautiful and pathways to stroll along. Very p...  more »

  • Park is huge. Has different sections to it (although I noticed that there aren't many play areas for kids to play such as swing sets etc. There is a workout area that only included bars). Its very pretty and scenic, there is a road that goes through the park. Good for a bike ride as well as a picnic. Does have a bit of shade are around the park, but it's best to also bring an umbrella. Gates do close at 18:00hrs.
  • Parramatta Park and the river of eels is a delightful place to enjoy a little oasis in a concrete jungle. It's steeped in history with many things to see that were built when Australia was first discovered including the first Government House and the first railway line. If you just want to wander about or learn about the beginning of settlement it's got it all.
  • Beautiful place to spend time with family and friends. Lots of open spaces and play ground for the kids. Don't try to go there if you are after a quite time around the park if there is a festival or music function, unless your attending one of these. Which the fun will gooooooo on... Fantastic place all round, lots of history at the top end of the park and very close to shopping and trains and buses. It is a great place to visit or something bigger....
  • Awesome place to spend evening with kids and family. The recently developed kids area has swings, slide, sea saw, flying fox, jumping circles and many more.... The crowd is very less hence kids get lot of time play on rides here. There is barbecue area which makes perfect picnic sport. On one side of the play area you can play football, Fly kite etc and other side is big open ground with 3 good cricket pitches.
  • Loved the Australia day arrangement. It was better than the 31st . One thing came to my mind . Since the events are trendy and involves kids. I would like to see it more lit up with flood lighting. There too many places very patchy. Given that there were presence of police . Few more helping rangers or security should not be too much to ask for..
