  • Good view of Palm Cove and the islands and also worth a walk to see what fish are biting for the local anglers.

  • This great little gem is the perfect destination for a walk on the beach. Head there either early morning or later in the afternoon. The pier has ample space for a walk and is common to see fishing...

  • We walked up to the jetty morning and evening from our accommodation. Good to look into the sea to see what is there. Lots of fishermen trying to catch something. Great to look back at Palm Cove...

  • Palm Cove Jetty Visited on 14/7/2022 - 18/7/2022 The Jetty is at one end of Williams Esplanade, where people come to fish. Not everyone is lucky enough to catch for a hearty meal. If so, they will have to pay for their meals at one or more of the restaurants around. There is big blue sign board explaining the history of the jetty. It is more for keen recreational enthusiasts to fish here. In fact there is another blue sign board showing the various types of fish that frequent the water. The wind can be fairly chilly, even though the sun may be smiling high above. Fluctuating weather is not good for your body. Standing on the jetty surrounded by the vast body of the Pacific ocean water, I feel like I am on a different planet. I really miss my cruising on big liners; I miss the roaring sound of wind and waves! It is a not a long wooden jetty, fenced on both sides, leaving some openings with steps going down close to the water. I check with a couple of the "fishermen" on one visit how their luck was, and their responses were far from positive. I do not have much luck taking photos of the sunset. The sky has not been clear. I hope to hav3 better in the next visit here.
  • Take a relaxing walk on the jetty, fish for local fish for dinner or just check ot the coast with a better view. Carpark right at the jetty. A recommended stop on the way North from Cairns.
  • Great place Palm Cove - loved it, will go there next time for a holiday rather than Port Douglas. Jetty is great purpose built place to fish- just a great pity there is no covering to shade from the sun.
  • Nice spot for a walk, breakfast, tea or just coffee. Cyclists need to dismount and also jumping from the Betty is not allowed so it’s better just to chill here. I saw some fishermen but not sure if that’s allowed but it is perfect for a walk at sunrise!
  • What I love about this jetty is that they know and appreciate that people will be fishing off of it. There is a sign posted which gives instructions for proper fishing and the dangers of local wildlife. The jetty itself is like others but the friendly atmosphere of the local amateur fishing made this trip really unique.
