Sometimes people want to much. We took our 11, 7 and 5 year old grand children and we all had fun. It is not a theme park it is a family park and does it well. Plenty of shows to watch kids loved opal mining LOVED the animal nursery and walking amongst the animals patting and feeding them, the smiles were worth a million dollars. Wagon ride fun Food was pretty good too. Chips were great FREE WATER available with lunch (WOW} fresh fruit . ok prices. Lots of things to look at on the walk from car park to entrance, places to sit and relax. Nice day will go back.
Great "theme park" based on life in the country/outback of Australia. The kids loved it, especially the nursery where they could feed the baby farm animals. The shows are well done, being informative and humourous.
We took our two year old - who loves visiting hobby farms and small zoos - here on a recent family holiday. We were all very disappointed, largely because it cost extra to do anything other than just walk around. It just seems to be a shameless grab for non-Australian tourist's money. A bit embarrassing really. Save your money and go elsewhere -eg Currumbin Sanctuary instead
RUDE RUDE RUDE STAFF MEMBERS FROM ENTRY POINT ALL THE WAY TO THE EXIT! THE GUY AT THE SHEERING ROOM IS SO.RUDE.AND.ARROGANT SMALL.PLACE NOT.ENOUGH ANIMALS, NO SIGNS FOR ENTER DO.NOT RECOMMEND AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.IN.HERE
The park looks nice... Parking is a long walk and we and a lot of others struggled to find our way around with virtually no signage and frequently coming across gates that were padlocked. We had the misfortune also of arriving at the same time as several tourist buses. We are local and was a bit embarrassed and how little effort went into the shows for the tourists. E.g. stockhorse show consisted of a rider cantering around in circles and cracking the whip a couple times and the lorikeet feeding where no parrots showed up at all. Panning for gold and gems was a bust as customers did not see the A5 sign at just above the knee height, asking for bags of rocks to be purchased from the gift shop - so kids were sieving through the sand on the ground. The animals (loved the goats) were cool the staff were not. We probably won't be back but they really should make it a smokefree place.
