  • Great place. Keeper talks were informative and entertaining. It's small enough to see everything without exhausting the kids but still have lots of variety, and I loved the farmhouse feel of feeding animals and having chickens and peacocks free ranging. PS the signs warning about goats eating your clothes are completely serious. A deer chewed a hole in my shirt, but it made for a good memory.
  • Had a great time, lots of animals to see and very friendly staff. You're able to get quite close to some for a very clear view. The road to reach the zoo entrance is a little tough so make sure to drive carefully.
  • What a hidden gem. This zoo found only about 40minutes from Newcastle is big enough to be interesting yet small enough to easily get around and see everything. Friendly, happy, informative staff. Delighted to see a range of birds, monkeys, lions, koalas and camels, alligators and owls, meerkats and albino wallabies. What a range!! The white lions show was impressive. Admission price is so reasonable too. We went on the hottest 38degrees day and got caught in a severe storm yet managed to stay dry because there are plenty of shelters scattered around plus tables and bbqs to use. The enclosures seemed close up so you can really enjoy watching the animals facial expressions as well. So many highlights too many to include. We brought 2 international guests with us who could not speak English and they were equally as thrilled as our 4 year old to see the koala so close up and the many peacocks wandering around displaying his impressive spray of feathers. There is even a fully white peacock! A must visit especially for families.
  • A great day out. Plenty of shaded seating. Well set out. Barbeques available so you can take your own food. I will definitely be back
  • Fantastic day out with children. Great diversity of animals to learn about and there is plenty of protection from the elements. Highly recommended. Staff were enthusiastic and engaging.
