  • Very pretty spot, situated on the Shoalhaven river, well away from the main road. There are lots of different camping spots in separate plots, as well as simple but practical cabins and a bunkhouse. T...  more »

  • Pretty cool place to camp..Will go again but for longer next time 3 days just wasn't enough 😊 hot showers and flushing toilets which is a bonus..they have a couple of built in usable bbqs and sinks with hot water to wash up and a basic laundry to wash your clothes Sometimes you have to wait to use a toilet or shower as they do not have many but a minor situation my visit was over the Oct long weekend and was reasonably busy but nothing too frustrating 😊
  • Really enjoyed the open spans of the grounds and that you weren't restricted to set limits of area that the grounds prefer you to camp within. However. Do not camp there over New Years eve. We had a pretty ordinary experience with my family when a troupe of inconsiderate people rolled in just for the NYE celebrations and let off what I would class as Commercial grade fireworks right through to 1.30 am, which given my distance from the main detonation, still hurt my ear drums. Im surprised that the intensity of these explosions didn't kill any of the wonderful Peacocks, Goanna's and Wombats that frequent the camp grounds. Apart from a few other acts that were totally inappropriate for my teenage daughters viewing (in plain sight), I was pretty disappointed with the way the park Managers handled the situation. They were absent when they should have stepped up and dealt with the situation or if it was out of their capability, rang the police and then immediately ejected them from the grounds so that families who were enjoying their annual holiday could have enjoyed the serenity that the grounds would have without being left feeling like they being held captive. I would go back, but NEVER over those dates. Just something for any others to consider or for the park managers themselves to read and take notice to do something about it. Shame, as up until that point I would have rated it as a 5 star experience. Perhaps my next visit in the near future will amend my thoughts about this experience and allow me to enjoy the park for all the good parts.
  • Say hello to wombats when you dash to the toilets at night! Talk to the kookaburra sitting on your camp chair. Swim in a natural waterpark. Wake up to the sound of birdsong. Roast marshmallows on the fire. There are toilets and hot showers in the amenities block.
  • Nice grounds, great river swimming. Somebody was using a chainsaw to cut up wood and the manager went around to to camps warning people not to use them in the grounds. After politely advising that we did not know who was using one he squared up to me and threatened to kick out our entire party if we didn't answer his questions. Luckily for him I am a very calm person and did not react to his aggression - will not be visiting again after nearly a decade of yearly easter patronage due to his attitude.
  • A bit pricey but throughly enjoyed my 2 night stay where i meet my first wombat ( which were plentiful ) . Would recommend to people looking to experience some of Australias east coast wildlife
