NSWNPS really needs to shape up. Time and again they fail in their basic function of making beautiful wild places accessible to the public who own them. This time the beautiful Lane Cove park needs so... read more »
Lovely park, very close to the caravan park, about 1 km walk from Nth Ryde train station. Plenty picnic areas, lovely Bush walks

Easily accessible from the north ryde train station if you don't own a car. Ideal loop is going south on the riverside track, cross at the weir and do the great north walk section or the north side of the river. Then go back to the starting point by crossing the Deburgh bridge. Great 10k walk!
Great place for families or groups to meet. You can camp onsite, go for a canoe ride, walk a section of the Great North Walk or feed the ducks. My colleagues tell me that business folks go there in pairs to get better aquainted at lunchtime (Macquarie Park is next door and is Sydney's 4th largest CBD)
Beautiful, tranquil place in suburbia where you can get away and feel like you're in the middle of the bush yet not far from the city. The western side is much easier going than the eastern side of you're walking.
We live next to Lane Cove National Park, so may be a little biased. Thanks to the park, we get visited by MANY birds. Its a nice park to go for a walk or biking. The ducks/birds are generally do not fear humans. They co-exist. A great place for morning/evening walks. Day hikes. or just visiting!
Beautiful park close to the CBD. I have very happy memories from about 7 years ago when I visited with my 6 year old son and very pregnant wife.
