  • great spot to put the kayak in and explore the waterways. can also do a good circuit walk and have a BBQ or picnic on the waters edge.
  • We completed an 11 km return walk from De Burgh's Bridge to the weir, walking along the river. The terrain is different on the two sides of the river. It is rocky with caves on one side while on the o...  more »
  • I often head into Lane Cove Natiaonal Park for a lunchtime walk. There are some great tracks along the river. Easy going but beautiful surrounds including the occasional Echinda. A real delight.

  • Very long park with lots of things to do. There are walking trails and road for bikes (shared with cars). You can have a picnic in multiple picnic and BBQ areas. Hire of the boats is available, so you can go along the river, which is very nice! This is a very beautiful place and good park for recreation. Be aware that this areas is hidden in between hills and next to water, so sometimes it can be chilly.
  • Lane Cove National Park has extends through multiple suburbs, and some parts seem bland and ordinary when you drive past, while others have a completely different feel about them. The photos I uploaded are listed as being in Lane Cove National Park on Ladygame Drive, but are actually from the area off Boundary Rd in North Epping. This area of the park is more rugged, and full of cockatoos, rosellas, and many smaller birds hopping about in the trees.
  • Terrific park, relaxing, can get very crowded on weekends and the bushwalking can be a little bit maze like. Take your phone/gps if you're not good st walkinf for hours if you take a wrong turn
  • Enjoyed a good walk along one side of its banks. Beautiful scenery and views. Felt immersed in nature even though we were so close to roads and highways.
  • Easily accessible from the north ryde train station if you don't own a car. Ideal loop is going south on the riverside track, cross at the weir and do the great north walk section or the north side of the river. Then go back to the starting point by crossing the Deburgh bridge. Great 10k walk!
