As there is something grand pa to Normanton, they decided to make a statue of a crocodile who was shot a few decades ago when the crocodile hunting was permitted. Even if the beast was large (the measurements are shown), I think that the reproduction has greatly exaggerated the size of the animal). There is the photo of the Hunter, rifle in hand, sitting on dead crocodile. My sympathy goes to the crocodile who asked nothing to anyone and who died because he was a big crocodile. Go your way.

He was big, but he got shot. What else is there to say. TI watched a tourist put their pet dog in his mouth. Weird  more »

Static display but worth seeing. Unbelievable size. Great photo opportunity fairly quiet part of Australia so there's no rush to move on. Locals are friendly (other than the crocs) lol.  more »
