Puppy's Point, Norfolk Island

Categories: Scenic Walking Areas, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.8/5 based on 180 reviews on the web
Watch the sunset or sunrise from Puppy's Point, located on Norfolk Island’s western coastline. Several trails lead visitors to this popular picnic spot, which is part of a nature reserve made of steep cliffs formed by the erosion of basalt rocks by the ocean’s currents. The site is situated on the flattest section of the reserve and contains a variety of native trees, such as Norfolk Island pines and white oaks. For a taste of fresh seafood delicacies and some local entertainment, time your visit for the fish fry picnics held here in the afternoon hours. You can also bring your own snacks and drinks, but don’t miss a chance to try the local coconut bread and other coconut desserts.
