Mount Pitt, Norfolk Island

Categories: Mountains, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.9/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Hike up to Mount Pitt for a full view of Norfolk Island from high above the fog and clouds. These cliffs and steep slopes, situated inside the Norfolk Island National Park, support a thriving community of native shrubs, herbaceous plants, and climbers, and preserve a few precious tracts of nearly extinct indigenous seashore vegetation. At 320 meters (990 ft), this peak is the second highest point on the island. At this location you can also join the popular "Summit Walk" to Mount Bates, the highest peak on Norfolk, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and don’t forget your camera.
