  • This is a really good family experience. The volunteers are really friendly, informative and helpful. The climb isn't too challenging and totally worth the view. We took our two kids up (18 months and 5 years) and they loved it!
  • We really loved it here. Came here after looking up on maps. The tours run here everyday from 10AM to 1:30PM. There are no set times for the tours so just roll in when you can. It lasts for about 20 mins. Come equipped with a camera as there are some nice views from the top. The tickets for a family of four is $20. $6 for an adult and kids under 5 are free. You of course won't be able to take prams up the lighthouse as steps are winding and narrow. Another thing that please be aware of is the wind. This area is prone to of course strong winds. The tour will generally take you to a balcony and also out up at the top. When we arrived, southerly winds just hit us and they were very strong. The tour guides volunteer their time here. Please be respectful and courteous. They do a great job. If you want to volunteer you can ask at the desk. For young ones make sure you give your names at the desk before the tour and they will prepare a cool certificate for them for participating in the tour. This place has a lot of history for more than 100 years. It was very a very respectable job to be a lighthouse keeper. Hats off to the guys and their families for saving so many lives out at the sea. And a big shout out to the human spirit that is so evident here.
  • Beautiful view from the lighthouse headland. There are steps down to the beach. People fish from the rocks on the headland. There are nice areas to swim if you walk to the left or right. Good spot to walk your dog also. There is a bush track from the car park back to the coffee shop which has some nice views too.
  • This is an amazing place and well worth the visit. We didn't go on the tour because the lady that was there was cranky so we decided to just enjoy the lovey location and walk around the area. A lovely place to visit, highly recommended.
  • loverly.. it is a safe place spot to experience the power of nature, to view sea creatures and clamber over rocks like a kid again. The views are amazing and the bombora not too far off shore is spectacular during stormy seas. If you feel up yo it you can do the loop, walk down the stairs at the lighthouse and then back to Soldiers beach then return via the roadway.
