Noosa Main Beach, Noosa
(4.7/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Noosa Heads' main attractions are its beaches. Noosa Main Beach and its small bays are popular surfing locations well known on the world surfing circuits. Local artists often create large sand sculptures, such as medieval castles and dragons, on the beach's wide strip of white sand. This beach has lifeguards on duty daily, and flags bouncing on top of the water clearly mark a safe swimming zone. Several snack vendors operate on the sand, none more popular than the iconic "Hey Bill." Our Noosa trip itinerary planner makes visiting Noosa Main Beach and other Noosa attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • This is an excellent beach, not too big, plenty of sand, no rocks, always clean and the amenities are fantastic. Close to shops to purchase drinks and ice creams, excellent showering facilities and to...  more »
  • Busy beach with supervision by lifeguards. Busy but very cozy. At wind beautiful waves. You can easily get something to eat or drink, or to the public (clean) toilet. Also shower at the beach. There are many quieter beaches around Noosa, but this is very special, and for me a ' must see '.

  • Lovely beach. The trendy shops of Hastings Street are nearby. The walk out to Noosa Heads is a pleasure. Car parking can be tricky during peak holiday times.
  • Beautiful beach very enjoyable, the ocean is really calm, almost as a like sometimes, but also very good for surfing specially long boards, if you get close to the rocks.
  • Great spot for a swim and enjoy a the day. Claim waters most times of the year
  • Nice big wide beach but can be quite crowded during the holidays.
  • Parking is free, if you can find a spot. It's very touristy. But the beach is great. No flies was a plus.
