Noosa Heads' main attractions are its beaches. Noosa Main Beach and its small bays are popular surfing locations well known on the world surfing circuits. Local artists often create large sand sculptures, such as medieval castles and dragons, on the beach's wide strip of white sand. This beach has lifeguards on duty daily, and flags bouncing on top of the water clearly mark a safe swimming zone. Several snack vendors operate on the sand, none more popular than the iconic "Hey Bill." To visit Noosa Main Beach on your trip to Noosa, use our Noosa trip itinerary planner.

  • Perfect one day - exceptional the next! While it appeared busy with Coolcabanas it was actually fine joining the crowd. The water is a dream!  more »

  • Wonderful safe place for all demographics. Beautiful boutique shops for men and women. Large variety of restaurants. Clean. Romantic venue. Fam friendly. Great surf culture. Everybody who lives and works here is happy! Watch the surf though if you choose to swim alternative beaches to Noosa Heads main Beach. Strong currents. No life saving staff at some places. Thankful to forefathers who fought and won the battle to preserve this coastal region. The progress that has been done is tasteful and benefits all who visit here. Stunning location.
  • The beauty of this beach will leave you speechless 😊. Very popular with locals and visitors alike, always full of lively activities. There are lifeguards around and first aid areas making you feel safe when you venture into the water. Soft silky sand under your feet, blue turquoise warm water, beautiful surrounds, what is there not to like.
  • A super relaxed beach with minimal waves and plenty of real estate. Enjoy swimming or take in the sights via a table at one of the restaurants that overlook it. Definitely a nice place close to everything. Looks good for snorkelling closer to the point. 😎🦎
  • I only visit offpeak times. We live on beach front on Sunshine Coast and find Noosa too touristy. Reminds me of Surfers Paradise. Great natural beauty but "too loved". Only those who experienced it during 60's and 70s know what visitors are missing now.
  • Beach is really nice, The beauty of this beach will leave you speechless. lots of other spots to enjoy the water and water sports in the …Nice way to spend an evening here. Perfect holiday spot.
