  • Interesting city to European eyes. Excellent setting on both the river Hunter and the ocean. Widespread and dotted with Victorian buildings from the early industrial splendour. Imposing Anglican cathedral with special memorabilia from the wars (historic flags and a gold book made with rings of war widows). Nice 'cappette' houses, astonishing trees and great pubs in Cooks Hill.
  • Great hands in museum with diverse exhibits. Good option for families with young and older kids alike. Really close to Honeysuckle precinct restaurants and cafes. Parking is expensive but it's regularly monitored, so either leave the car at home or pay and display.
  • Small museum but it’s was a great visit staff were really good. Great for kids I even had fun best time to go is on the weekends because the Wilson parking lee warf it’s all day free parking. Will return
  • Great place to take the kids for some fun and a little learning. Also some great displays and changing exhibitions for both young and old alike. The cafe however was disappointing at best. The toasty was quite nice but my iced chai was not well blended and had not enough flavour making the last third simply iced milk. And I am not at all sure why my husband’s iced coffee at ice cream but my chai didn’t.
  • Walked into the museum when we were greated by a lovely lady with a smile she gave us leaflets after asking how we were which is nice all the people at the museum are very nice people from the moment you walk in and nice when you leave my children loved every moment of it i would so recommend going there for everyone my family will be going again in the future there is a lot of things for the children and specially for the little little ones the dinosaurs were a big hit with the kids and adults thank you to all the lovely people at the Newcastle museum
