  • This walk is sometimes mentioned as Newcastle’s best sight. That seems a bit excessive to us. After all, it’s really just a metal walkway. No one seemed to be very interested in the memorial exhibits....  more »
  • Great coastal walk ,no pets are allowed Pram access maybe a little hard as it had a few stairs. Very pretty scenery  more »
  • Impressive setup and scenery. An easy stroll with views in all weather. Really good to see storms over the ocean. With luck you spot dolphins or whales or get swooped by paragliders.  more »
  • Beautiful views! Quite short in length, but is wheelchair accessible from the top parking lot at the north end. Stairs at the south end. Note that signs indicate dogs are not permitted. Open 24 hours.
  • This walk deserves many more stars! Not just the view but also the feeling of patriotism rises within you after looking at sacrifices of life soldiers did for us. Peaceful, adorable and beautiful walk over the bridge in sky, with the view of ocean on one side and the city of Newcastle, New South Wales on another side. It’s really easy to find a parking there. Prefer to park at the bottom (beach) end of it, as that end has got large parking space. It’s a free walk and full of nature and emotions. I loved my visit of Newcastle Memorial Walk, hoping the same for you. Stay safe. Be travelling. Travel Octopus it is. ✌️
  • Nice little coastal walk, with great memorials for those that were lost to war. Good views over the bays. There is free parking. Nice spot for sunset.
  • Excellent place to see a wonderful view of Newcastle. The walk can be windy at times but this isn't a deterrent by any means. Just be ready to hold onto your hats! Amazing birds eye view vantage points and you can read up on the history on plaques dotted along the walk. A must see!!!
  • Great way to get a look over the city and get a little exercise while doing it. My kids love learning about the great war. Beautiful views of the beaches and you get some idea of Newcastle's History. I would recommend doing this walk at sunrise or sunset as it was a great way to finish our trip to Newcastle.
