  • we do all of our fruit veg and meat shopping there. ALL OF IT! great seasonal fruit and veg (not all directly from the farmer...but we choose to only buy from the produce). good meat and eggs, even cheese!. not super cheap but slightly cheaper than supermarket prices.
  • Best place for fresh fruit & veg grown by local farmers. Envy for potatoes & veg & Pilco's for something different & truly locally grown.
  • Great fresh foods and other cool stuff. Great atmosphere and yummy food
  • Newcastle's farmers market is a great place to get local, good quality products. Mostly fruit and veggies but there is more including but not limited to honey, meats, plants, wine and bread. I have included my Sunday morning trip to the markets into my weekly meal preparation as a priority! The food. Now eat is so much nicer and there is more variety than you find at the bigger supermarkets. Some weeks it's at the Newcastle showground and others it's at the tighes hill Tafe. The website is good and will tell you where it is at on what date. So get on down and join the crowds at the local markets.
  • Loads of people everywhere, lots of fresh produce to buy. $2.00 entry. Not bad. Heaps of coffee options.
