Where to stay in Newcastle

Newcastle offers an extensive choice of accommodations, with the greatest choice available around the Hamilton East and Cooks Hill areas. Here you can find boutique hotels, hostels, and apartment rentals. Try a beachside residence for a great view of the harbor and quick access to the sand and sea. Farther out of town you will find RV parks and motels along the main roads. Newcastle's solid local train and bus service will take you between the sights and your accommodations in the city.

  • Fresh fruit & veg products from local growers. Large variety of tasty street eats. Lots of handmade items by local designers too. Ample street parking.
  • Lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Parking was easy and cheap. Plenty of stalls selling fresh and high quality food. Lots of choice of great takeaway food from vans and we found seating in the shade without a struggle.
  • Brilliant place to get some of the freshest local produce. Much better quality and often cheaper than the supermarkets. Bring the kids for a jump on the jumping castle or for a pony ride to make a family day of it.
  • A good range of fresh fruit & veg + organic wine, artisan bread, cakes, meat. Too many good things to list, the highlight is buffalo dairy products
  • Love love love it. All the freshness and convenience at fantastic prices. I would highly recommended the farmers markets
