  • Very good patrolled beach surrounded by walkways through to Nobbys Beach or King Edward Park or to some great restaurants, cafes along the foreshore.  more »
  • I love walking to Newcastle beach. Its great as its so close to town and has that old world infrastructure. Good swimming and easy to get a good lunch close by.  more »
  • This beach is busy, but beautful, with lifesavers there all the time, the break wall is great when windy, there is no shade, but the water keep everyone cool.  more »

  • A nice, large, popular beach with semi-friendly waves and plenty of sand. Not many facilities though, so take along all the food and drinks you will need for the day. Pretty easy to get a park, although some areas require you to purchase a ticket. No shade about, so pile on the suncream. Can get crowded during good weather.
  • Best holiday I’ve had for three nights the water was beautiful the food delicious and people over there very friendly and hopeful me and my husband we enjoyed specially Six Degree restaurant over harbour side best food and definitely we back again
  • Great beach. Not too crowded. Awesome surf. Highly recommend. The sea pools a beauty too.
  • Beautiful beach well maintained with bars and restaurant on the beach . They have a small shallow area where sea water comes in to make kids play in water and be safe than taking them in the sea when waves are strong . Good scenic walk .
  • Parking was hard to find being New Years day however the ocean baths are worth the struggle.
