  • Worth a visit if you enjoy caves. Some are really claustrophobic, but some are also spectacular. The formations are astonishing at times. I thought that the tour guide was excellent. The entire way he provided an insight not only into the geology of the place but also the history. Be warned, along the Highway you see lots of signs pointing you towards Wombeyan Caves. You get the impression that it is quite near. It is not. It is a long drive there.
  • Good cheap camping. Several caves (marble) to explore or be guided. Cave prices start around $20. A couple of bush walks to enjoy too. Take the one down to the creek for a free taster of the caves in the area. Interesting local marble mine. Campsite is fab for birdlife & local wallabies. The road in from Goulburn is the easiest. The road in from the other direction, although mostly dirt, is fab for dramatic views
  • Wonderful place to go camping, bushwalking and of course checking out some magnificent caves!
  • My 10 year old son and I had a fabulous three days at Wombeyan in July. We had a dorm room which was warm and comfortable. Cooking in the camp kitchen and eating by a fire. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful. Our cave tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enlightening. It was so nice to be amongst the bush and birds, exploring this unique geological environment.
  • Amazing place. The self-guided cave tour is pretty amazing, with massive chambers and the majestic Victorian Arch. Would like to come back and tour the other caves if I ever have the chance.
