  • Oh Boy , Superb place, well kept and well laid out and well maintained museum. Details about each and every exhibit is a point worth mentioning. Entry fee is quite expensive . Carry your own food . Plan your visit well in advance ( if you are going by Train and Bus and make) ensure that you stick to your schedule , otherwise you would end up stranded.
  • 100/100 SHOULD SAY IT ALL !..............our Taxes well spent when you see how our Feds WASTE our money non-stop on "white elephants"........... This Museum is the best we've ever seen in Australia..........kudos to all those volunteers who gave up thousands of hours to preserve our Aussie Heritage and to prevent wanton waste of such beautiful Memorabilia as occurs all around us evryday............puff out your chests with Australian pride and enjoy full Bragging Rights in all your hard work in this Museum. You Volunteers are a rare Breed and your reputation is above Mount Kosciuszko in height !................well done ! NO FAMILY or individual should miss this incredible attraction even if the modest admission fee was double the price ! ............. Bernie of Mornington Peninsula Melbourne.
  • Great place to visit if you like yesterday's trains. All types of trains from Steam, Diesel Electric, Electric, Freight, Passenger, Live Stock, and even an old Money train which was powered by either a Ford 302/351 V8. If you like trains, this is a place to visit.
  • Great looking at static displays of old steam engines AND live stream train rides at weekends. Kids enjoy variety of activities
  • Excellent educational & entertaining place for kids & adults. Kids below 2 free.
