I know this isn't really about the winery, however the entire Day on the Green experience here at Mitchelton Wines was fantastic. We went to see Bryan Adams, Darryl Braithwaite and Thirsty Merc at Mit... more »
Hotel - amazing hotel with well organised staff. Nice sized rooms, great beds, amazing pool (perhaps not big enough for all hotel guests, as we experienced!) Restaurant Muse - awful service for both dinner and breakfast the following morning. After such a lovely stay at the hotel this was a disappointment. The food was delicious and they are obviously using great, fresh produce, it’s ruined by it turning up cold to the table. Cellar Door - not a huge space for tasting, but once you get a spot at the bench they have an extensive list to try. Some staff are more knowledgeable than others.
Great food and wine, beautifully serene and scenic and the introduction of the elegant new hotel made this winery a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Staff are helpful, attentive and friendly and the 360 panoramic views offered from the observation tower makes Mitchelton Wines a standout in the region. The alfresco dining area overlooking the river is tranquil, with an abundance of lush grass areas to lay back and enjoy a few bottles of the region's finest. Very much looking forward to a return visit.
Was there for Good Friday lunch. It was beautiful. Food was very good. So scenic and lovely service.
We went for a cellar door experience after finishing early one Monday only arriving at 4.20 when the place closed at 5pm. We were served by Jasmine who was absolutely brilliant. The wine was delicious and she made sure we tried the lot without rushing us due to time. She even said she would clean up downstairs to allow us time in the tower. Could not rate our experience higher. And we walked away with some excellent wines to boot! Beautiful winery. Excellent staff!
Beatififul place and setting. The chocolate Cafe is terrific. Right on Goulburn River. The new hotel looks very stylish. Great wines of course
