Definitely a close run thing. Situated on Mount View Road, which is a little away from the centre of the action, this vineyard is amazing. A restaurant that opens out to the expansive valley views, an...  more »

Really lovely wine and a cellar door with a great outlook. Makes you think you are in Europe. When we finished going through the tasting list my partner wanted to start all over again.  more »

The restaurant next to the cellar is hands down one of the best in the Hunter. Good service in the cellar as well, have some strong Hunter wines and products from other regions such as Orange. The tawny and liqueur there are excellent and quite informative staff. Range is not huge which is convenient for time pressed individuals. Views are spectacular as it is located on top of a hill ovedlooking the valley...

Outstanding vineyard that produces some unique and delicious wines. Very friendly knowledgeable staff, who will pour as long as you can taste. The attached cafe restaurant is reputed to be outstanding, one of only three in the Valley with a one "Chef's Hat"review rating. It was fully booked the day we came by, our loss. Book ahead if you can. Wines are well made, huge range. Flint dry, feather light elegant whites to a "stomped" red that is just plain fun. I can't wait to have it with southern Italian food. Their high end Reds are out of this world. Go soon! Buy lots!

I love this winery. They have a great selection of wines, but I especially love their range of Italian varietals (Aglianico, Vermentino, Sagrantino etc.). They also have some of the best views in the Hunter Valley and one of the best restaurants (Bistro Molines). We first visited for a wine tasting and were so impressed with the wine, the venue and the cellar door staff that we bought several cases of wine and joined the wine club. We have been to one of their members' lunches which I highly recommend.
