  • Taken over by new owners 5 months ago they have made lots of changes & plan lots more to come! I took my 4 year old son there today. I had no expectations & was pleasantly surprised by the experience....  more »
  • The sanctuary is quite small and simple, but a great way to just sit and watch the deer interact. There were two enclosures where we could reach in and feed the deer (one with younger hand-reared resc...  more »

  • Beautiful, serene place to spend a couple of hours. My two little ones and myself really enjoyed feeding the deer and relaxing here. The feed is inexpensive at $1 a bag, so I was happy to grab the kids two each. It's definitely an affordable day out, as you can bring a picnic (which we did). There is a small entry fee, unfortunately, I do not recall what it was even having been twice. It definitely wasn't a lot though. There are a couple of picnic tables as well as a couple of picnic rugs and there is a rest room. The hostess is lovely, very friendly and great with little ones.
  • While feeding the deer through the fence wasn't as cool as being able to walk around with them, it is understandable as to why not. Obviously, with new owners taking over a few months ago, some changes will be made, and I look forward to seeing what they may be. My son thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'll definitely be back!
  • What a peaceful place to visit up in the forest! We admired the new antlers sitting on top of deer Andy's head, he was showing off. The lovely folks who run the place, have small bags with pellets ready for you to feed the deer, and a bright yellow coffee machine to make you a nice cup of coffee.
  • Nice place for a picnic and seeing some friendly deer. I would recommend taking a packed lunch, it seems it is still up and coming.
  • Fabulous day trip Lovely location Very educational and hands on Deer are well kept and very friendly Staff were extremely help especially the younger boy who had plenty of knowledge Only $10 for 6 people!
