Kooroomba has been created as a unique tourist destination, nestled in the Fassifern Valley at Mt Alford near Boonah, about 65 minutes from Brisbane and 1hr 45minutes from the Gold Coast. The property consists of a cellar door, restaurant and lavender shop which overlooks a six hectare vineyard and a breathtaking lavender field, with magnificent views of the Scenic Rim mountains. Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm provides a southern France experience on the doorstep of Brisbane and is the perfect setting for a relaxing day away.Principals Bob and Marlene Carroll have invested $3 million into the development, which is seven years in the making.

The award winning cellar door/restaurant complex is of a 5 star level and is a blend of rustic and contemporary architecture.

The wine marketed from the cellar door is from grape grown on the property, which along with the Modern Australian cuisine served in the restaurant from local produce provides a unique regional wine and food experience.

Kooroomba has a large variety of wines including Chardonnay, Verdelho Marsanne, Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot.

The unusual Verdelho Marsanne blend has been served in Paris

and received high praise from the French people who tasted it.

The lavender fields have a number of varieties of lavender

– English, French, Italian, New Zealand and Australian designed to provide flower most of the year.

  • Awesome Picturesque Outlook and surrounds. The look to the hills is amazing. Nicest views in the entire scenic rim. Wine tasting available, (3 tastes for $5). Cafe/Restaurant available, grab a Glass of wine, some lavender flavoured scones with jam and cream on the outdoor shaded veranda. Or sitting inside in the dining area with massive open windows to soak up the views. Super friendly service and staff. Highly Recommended.
  • A very picturesque venue for a meal. Friendly staff with excellent service. Restaurant prices are to be expected for a boutique Restaurant. Also you can browse in their giftshop for beautiful soaps, candles and other organic gifts. Great place with lots of photographic potential too.
  • Stunning atmosphere, venue outlook, service and food. Staff were amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable with the wines when we did the wine tasting, before dining. Management may like to review charging for the tasting, and then handing out little plastic cups - our group of 8 had no objection at all what so ever to pay for the wine tasting - but small glasses would have been preferable to taste from. Just a thought! Also - maybe linen napkins on the tables instead of paper - your restaurant definitely has the class to warrant them. Would highly recommend a visit - well worth the drive.
  • A little piece of paradise. lovey views and you can feel the serenity from the moment you arrive. Top quality food and drink available from the restaurant. impeccable service. Beautiful lavender products available for purchase in their store a little pricey though but very good quality.
  • Our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined it to be- all thanks to Verity and Doogan. The whole experience, from the planning, to the day itself, was so enjoyable and stress-free. Verity is amazing at what she does, she is organised, friendly and only too happy to help. We were lucky enough to be able to be married in the new open-air chapel, it was magical and made for some stunning photos. On top of the obviously beautiful venue/surroundings, the food and wine was delicious, our guests were very impressed! We can’t thank the team at Kooroomba enough for helping us to create our perfect day, we wish we could do it all over again. We highly recommend them to those searching for the perfect wedding venue- there is no better!!
