Great food and atmosphere. We visited for my Wife's birthday and were seated near a huge window that overlooked the mountains. The staff were very friendly and the food was incredible. I had a delicious Lamb's Breast served with a garden salad and my wife had salmon served on a bed of risotto. We finished off with a freshly baked Souffle covered in fresh passion fruit and with a side of passion fruit ice cream. We'll be back again.
Beautiful site, building, grounds and mountain backdrop. Well worth the visit. Loved being able to see the Lavender growing and in full bloom this late August day. Lots of bees on the flowers. The staff didn't seem to have any problem with the many people in the flower rows taking photos. The Vineyard sits between the Lavender gardens and the mountain backdrop. You can sit on the hill beside the fields and just take in the view. Love the little shop. We went into the restaurant and asked about devonshire teas but they said they don't serve those. Would love there to be have been a Cafe for casual refreshments. I recommend an hour or so visit. Bring a camera. Another advantage is that it is nearby other places such as Mount French which has great view.
Nice little place for lunch. Could do with someone front of house welcoming people. Bit miffed that I couldn't try ONE wine when we seated for lunch. I was driving, I wanted one glass and a taster. She said I had to go to the bar. I ordered it anyway. Very limited reds by the glass. One infact. I don't drink whites. Wouldn't go again but was nice.
Excellent dinning experience, friendly and approachable staff, very nice food. We are very happy about the whole dinning experience and are in love with the lavender ice cream. Spectacular view from the restaurant, the only downside would be the flies, otherwise it would be a total 5-star experience. Would love to come back for another time during the lavender season.
If you are looking for real French flavor and exquisite food, this is the place. Beside the food, the view and welcome from the host bring the place to a level that you find only in big city.
