The Baroon Pocket Dam is a rock and earth-fill embankment dam with an un-gated spillway across the Obi Obi Creek, which is located in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The main purpose of the dam is for potable water supply. The resultant reservoir is called Lake Baroon.Just below the dam is Obi Obi Gorge, one of the few remaining places left where the Mary River cod maintains a wild population. Sehr idylisch gelegen mit ganz viel Natur. Und eine BBQ Anlage dazu, sehr geeignet für ein entspanntes Mittag- oder Abendessen. Aber Vorsicht vor den Vögeln ! Die wollen mit essen :-)Very idyllic situated with very much nature. And a BBQ system, very suitable for a relaxed lunch or dinner. But watch out for the birds! Want to eat that :-)show original
We were hoping to source some sort of kayaks to use on the dam, sourced Maleny and Montville with no luck. Locals were surprised we wanted to enter the lake! Tip, strictly BYO no bird life to speak of... read more »
Took our uk visitors here we made breakfast on the BBQ , so peaceful & relaxing great spot for all ages .
