  • At the ticket booth, there is a height block where your child has to stand against to see what price the ticket will be. My 2 year old was just under the 'free' limit, but the cashier said no. I asked...  more »
  • Some rides are so old time. Its great. Reasonable prices to get in and the staff are normal people, not those scary carnival folk...  more »
  • There is limited shade in the children's area behind Coney Island, so make sure you have lots of sun screen on, as you are left waiting a little while on rides in the hot sun. It also gets a little ho...  more »

  • Luna Park can be consider as an amusement park however do not expect much since it does not have much selections. Well, go for once or twice would not be boring. Restaurants, bars, etc are available so do not worry to be starved. One thing, be ready since it is not cheap at all. Most the audiences are families and teenagers, ticket is relatively inexpensive IMO. Its the only amusement park in Syd too (poor Syd). You could get there by public transports and it is also convenience. You do not have to pay anything if you would like to just visit this place for sightseeing. Lastly, The scenery at sunset is the best.
  • Luna Park is a great theme park, the accessibility is great and has nice staff. The rides are great and there isn’t that much wait. The haunted house could have some work though. There also should be barf bags around the theme park because when I went, I saw two people puke on the ground (the bins were vertical). The food is Luna park’s biggest flaw. The burger was too oily and I recommend to make a burger veg and non veg for kids so they can actually enjoy it. They bombarded the burger to fit all the veggies(it was burnt). Another flaw with the food was the outrageously expensive ($14) frozen coke cup. You get a tall but narrow cup with the Luna park sign. The cup is made of cheap plastic. We had to replace the cup three times till we got a sustainable glass. Definitely recommend the park but please change the menu and the frozen coke cup.
  • The lines can get long to get tickets so get there early. You have to buy tickets at the one booth for rides and they cost roughly $10 each or a day pass for $50. Surprisingly the food isn't too expensive. All the staff are friendly and helpful and it still has a nice vibe. Dodgem cars seem to be the most popular and there is parking within the complex which is convenient. You can still walk through the whole place without paying entry so it's worth checking out once at least.
  • Great views of the Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge and the Opera House while you stroll through the amusement park. Fun day out with the family. They always run specials around Halloween, Chinese New Year, etc. Check out their website. If you don't want to ride the rides, you enter for free which is awesome! There are 2 cafe options and seasonal food/drink stores inside. Coney Island section has rides that need closed shoes, something to remember when visiting in the summer. Can get brutally hot with very little shade in the summer months, plan accordingly.
  • So easily accessible, particularly by ferry. You land right there at the famous 'come inside' smiling gateway, and an all rides ticket will keep kids from 10 years and up well happy. Our kids loved it! Caters nicely for Mums/Dads or pre-booked functions as well, with stylish a la carte and bar offering every table/lounge setting amazing harbour views. Excellent photo taking opportunities of the city skyline and bridge (from unusual angles).
